BI Endpoints is an extension for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central that provides a comprehensive set of API endpoints designed for extracting data for business intelligence and analytics.
Traditional Business Central API access often needs complex queries and deep knowledge of the Business Central data model. BI Endpoints provides pre-built API pages that expose commonly needed data in a format ready for analytics and reporting — and documents the data model for you: which source tables are used, which columns are available, and how the datasets join.
Key features
- 118 pre-built endpoints across Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Jobs, Resources, Manufacturing, Assembly and Approvals — master data and transactional data.
- Optimized for BI workloads and compatible with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and any tool that can call a REST API.
- Built-in incremental extraction — every endpoint carries
systemModifiedAt, and deleted records are tracked and served from a separatedeletedEntriesendpoint. See Incremental loads and deletions. - The data model, documented — business keys, fields and relationships for every endpoint, both on a page in Business Central and as metadata endpoints.
- Custom endpoints — expose any Business Central table, including tables and fields added by other extensions, without writing AL code. See Custom endpoints.
- Consistent naming conventions — camelCase entity sets and fields, and enum values rendered in the language you choose.
- Install from Microsoft AppSource.

How a request looks

Every endpoint is read-only, company-scoped, and authenticated with an OAuth 2.0 token from Microsoft Entra ID, exactly like Microsoft's own Business Central APIs. See API overview.
